Dani Jolo Customer –
Excellent product!
acer-1 Customer –
Still working great.
DeLaney Customer –
Great. Is doing the job beautifully. I had been renting the same model Modem from my Cable provider for the past 2 years at $5/month. Had I known all along that I was renting, I WOULD HAVE PURCHASED 2 YEARS AGO!!!!
Margie Customer –
Great
John Herrington Customer –
Just what we needed
Customer Customer –
Works great! We bought it to replace the modem we had been renting from Comcast and we haven’t had any problems. We saved $10 / month!
m Customer –
This was the easiest installation I’ve ever experienced with a modem or router. I barely had to do anything! Didn’t even have to call my carrier..I just opened a window after I fired it up and it communicated with them and I was on the ‘net in no time. I bought this one because I had to upgrade due to carrier upgrade it was the cheapest one on their list of compatibles. Great find! I’ve always had Arris/Motorola modems and they’ve never let me down.
david Customer –
Dec 27, 2015 Chose this model because recommended higher bandwidth models still do not appear as consistently reliable, an observation verified by the Time Warner tech who installed it over the phone. Process and performance was and are as expected. My subscription is for 50mbps download and this puppy enables 53mbps during busy periods and up to 59 during slower ones, while Upload hovers at around 5.9 anytime. Of course, I’ve only been using it for one day, but I anticipate no problems.
palmii Customer –
I’ve had this for almost a year now and the Internet is fantastic. I’ve never had a problem with it and even the Comcast technician was a little startled by the speed.
Customer Customer –
Works well with Comcast Blast service.
LBills Customer –
So far it’s working great and much faster than my previous modem. It was a very easy install. I’m using it for Comcast/Xfinity internet and after I installed it, I called Xfinity to get it activated. What’s nice is that it comes with extra SN and CMAC stickers so you don’t have to be sitting right next to the modem to give them a call. They also asked for make and model number. It took maybe 10 minutes for them to activate it, it was also later in the evening for me. They also said I’m now eligible to upgrade to X1 for free, which will be nice.
Judith Milgram Customer –
Bought to avoid Comcast box rent, installed easily and works Very well. Picked up all the devices right away.
Daniel Customer –
Setting it up was really easy and simple and I haven’t had any problems with it! Worth it!
HauserQuaid Customer –
Very stable modem for use with Comcast. No complaints from Comcast either as I have heard they bug other customers if they use a modem they do not like. So far have not had to do any restarts and seems to always be available when needed.
Jennifer Thomas Customer –
Modem was just as advertised. Turns out, I had the same one already.
Suzanne P. Customer –
Works great! Just plugged it in and go. My internet speed with cable is now almost 10x higher than it was through my previous provider.
Greg K. Customer –
Has worked great and easy to set up in just a few minutes…
P. chang Customer –
Works like charm with RCN service
Shelby Dallas Jacobs Customer –
Works great, easy to use and install.
Customer Customer –
The directions for activating the modem issued by Comcast did not work. No great surprise there, but once I got connected to a Comcast service rep, the activation went quickly with no problems. Modem speeds are as good as or better than advertised.
David Jed Williams Customer –
Came in on time and works great!
Erin R Myers Customer –
saving money on Comcast bill is great already in the green on investment and still works perfect! fast delivery.
Customer Customer –
Saving $8.00 per month for buying instead of paying Cablevision.
tti12cu Customer –
Outstanding!! My download speed increased over 30% with this modem.
Mark A Medina Customer –
Worked and did what seller said it would do!
Donna e Berg Customer –
Had to return it. It was xfinity failure to make it work.

Bill Customer –
works great
Bill Customer –
This is a solid modem. It handles the internet connection & speed well. Unlike other modems, I haven’t had to reboot this one every few days. It also is nice to know I’m not renting a modem from Time Warner for $8 (plus taxes & fees) a month.
Patricia Customer –
Item is perfect and functions perfectly with Time Warner Cable. I should of “bought” my own modem years ago instead of leasing from the cable company.
Kindle Customer Customer –
This is an Excellent Modem.Be warned, however, Comcast will NOT want you to use this modem, and may give you fits once you install it. They dropped my speed (which was supposed to have been 50, but Concast gave me some bs about the splitter that we have to use cutting the signal in half, which I bought because it seemed logical) from 35 Mbps down to 6 Mbps. Then, they started cutting the signal out up to 20 time A DAY! When I had the 1st tech come out, he did all he could, got no improvement, BUT the tech that he called on the phone said that there they were experiencing outages in the area. (Which did not make since, since I still had a picture on the TV, but what can you do?) He said he couldn’t do anything else, and would have to come back again. He scheduled an appointment, but never came back. After about a week of waiting, I was furious and called again, requesting another tech agent come out. He did and did everything the 1st guy did, with the same uneventful results. I finally capitulated, desperate for a constant signal at the appropriate bandwidth, and agreed to have him install their New super-duper Concast Modem+Router, though it was going to cost me a monthly fee. Well, surprise! It gave me the same 6 Mbps signal! LOL So I said, “Forget it, just install mine again.” They did, and IMMEDIATELY AFTER they Re-Installed mine, I got 50 Mbps! (Undoubtedly, it finally went though their system that they had installed their own Concast Modem+Router, just a minute after it had been uninstalled!) Then, it dropped back down too 5 Mbps!!!!!!I talked to the tech, and he was flabbergasted that I has the 50 Mbps screenshot to show him, and the current 5 Mbps speed to compare it to. He called the problem “systemic” – meaning there was nothing he could do, and basically confessed that it had to do with the person he called on the other end of the line, who AGAIN claimed that there was an outage in the area (because that is Concast’s default excuse). He also said that he had installed plenty of splitters and a single splitter would not cut my internet speed in half. So, he left. Then I called Concast again, late that Saturday, and I was Irate. I told them that I knew what they were doing, that there was NO REASON my speed should go up to 50 then drop down inexplicably to 5 other than the fact that THEY were the cause of the problem. I asked to make certain that the call was recorded. I demanded that it be played for a supervisor. And I threatened a class-action lawsuit if they did not fix it. Oh! And I also requested that another tech come out and Re-Install their New super-duper Concast Modem+Router. (I did not say so, but I planned to get the next installation on camera.) Then, after the call, I took the survey that they’d asked me to take, and I trashed their customer service and said that I would not recommend them. When they asked why, I recorded a very irate message for them.Interestingly, the tech that I requested to come out and install the New super-duper Concast Modem+Router never came. However, my speed did jump up to the Blast speed of 75 Mbps (which is what it is now supposed to be), and it has remained there with little to no interruption.
DJMaine Customer –
This product came faster than I thought it could. Ordered it on Sunday afternoon and had it at my house Monday morning.I plugged it in and it worked. Very easy set up. Now I don’t rent a cable modem anymore and this one is way quicker.
M. Leach Customer –
Works perfectly. Had to phone cable company 2 times to get it going but now I am so happy to no longer pay rent on a modem
Pete Customer –
Product arrived as promised, installed easily and worked flawlessly.
Lara Customer –
Works well. BUT, I had to purchase 2 of these. First one was a dud (or that is what cablevision said … I don’t think they like giving up their requried $5/mo lease).Device works well. But you really have to get the EXACT SAME MODEL that they gave you … otherwise, for whatever reason, they won’t activate it at all ($5/mo may be the reason).
kamani Customer –
work great, got it because i don’t want rent from the cable company, no issues, fits in small spaces, great
Aaron s. Customer –
I ordered wrong one
chella Customer –
I havent had this very long but so far it is terrific, I would have paid 5 bucks plus that 5 added to fees and taxes on my internet bill so I saved. For the price I will have this item paid for in 7 months effortless type of savings as it saved off the bill. I just kicked cable to the curb and land line phone so when I found out they then started charging me for the box I had..well I had to do something. Now they are charging a good price for just internet but Im still saving some too. Amazon has been my fortress! Usually I can come here and find the things I need cheaper than any place else and only rare times have I lost on something and that is mainly with third party sellars not all but some.So this was the exact box that my cable company was renting to me for 5 bucks a month and it was an easy set up.
Elias Girma Customer –
Great!!!
John Customer –
Reliable high speed modem, works well with my Xfinity service. Saves me on monthly modem rental fees. Thank you ARRIS.
Avid Mac Customer –
I had another Arris DOCSIS 3 cable modem and liked it, but moved and the new ISP required a different modem. This was the one.No complaints. Seems very speedy and I’ve had no hiccups in the month I’ve owned it.Good value.
Nicole Morgan Customer –
Purchased as a replacement for the Time Warner one. Works like a charm and worth every dime
B.B. from MN Customer –
I use this modem with Comcast and have to say that my speeds increased dramatically with the 8 x 4 channel bonding. I use a Netgear router and it works seamlessly and I have no problems with the connectivity through Comcast. Would highly recommend if you are looking for better performance for your internet.
kjvp Customer –
When I realized I was paying Comcast $10/mo to rent a modem, it didn’t take me long to decide to buy one instead. This one’s on Comcast’s list, had good reviews and is the current standard and future proofs the setup. should I want to upgrade my internet speed.. And the price was good. It took me about 5 mins to setup when it arrived. It’s super simple. Whatever gripes I have with Comcast, got to hand it to them, they do make it VERY easy to switch to your own modem. It’s working great! Shipping was fast with Prime. Very happy and satisfied.
CRS Customer –
Easy to install and maintain. solved the problem of getting disconnected with the Comcast Internet service. Works well with my current router.
Juan G. Customer –
Better than expected
Mark B. Customer –
It’s not beautiful by any means but the performance more than makes up for it. Using it with Comcast Cable in March of 2016.The 802A is actually the retail model of this device and is on Comcast’s approved equipment list while this 802 was meant to be distributed by cable providers and is not on the list. However, it will work and was easy to set up.When you call Comcast to activate the equipment just tell them it is the 802A and give them the seriel number on the device and Comcast will be none the wiser (it shouldn’t matter anyway, but better to play it safe).Took about 10 minutes on the phone to get it activated.Provides stable performance and is better than the equipment Comcast provides these days.Buying your own modem will save you $10 a month on the equipment rental, paying for itself in just a few months.I have Blast speed from Comcast and actually get better than advertised speeds with this device (90 Mbps down and 15 Mbps up).Make sure you have your own wireless router if you want to set up a wireless home network, as this device is just a simple cable modem and not a cable modem/wireless gateway like the equipment you likely have from Comcast right now.
