The modem worked great for about 4 months. Now it’s constantly dropping the connection. Now once or twice a day I have to unplug it in order to get it to reconnect. I’ve never had such a horrible experience with a modem. Stay away from this piece of garbage.

Modem worked well, but only lasted 1 year. Ethernet port failed almost exactly 1 year after installation. It was cheap and comcast/xfinity compatible, but the money I was hoping to save by not renting a modem from comcast/xfinity was minimized by the short lifespan.
Don Schreiner –
The box had tamper seal on it but this modem appears used already. Loose tie wires in box, no plastic wrapping, scratches and finger prints on front face.

I have this paired up with an Asus RT-N66U, and they work wonders together. Not really much to this Modem, it does what it needs to do. Just wish it was a little smaller.

Did not work

WARNING: Despite advertising this as compatible with Comcast, etc., this modem DOES NOT support a phone or fax. There is no jack. Absolutely useless for a home office. Even LINKSYS, on it’s own website, advertises this as including “phone cables.” It does not. Unbelievable.
Diz –
Terrible compatibility with Comcast. Internet would drop multiple times per day, sometimes multiple times per hour. Modem usually re-established connection itself, but often times I had to power cycle it to reset. Connectivity was so shaky that my girlfriend had couldn’t take her online exams at home because she couldn’t count on the modem holding the connection for a continuous hour (if it drops, her exam terminates).

Fast, compatible and easy to install

I bought this on a Lightening Deal last year, and I was waiting for a good deal on a router… Long story short, I forgot I had this modem until I stumbled on a Prime Day deal for a router. Needless to say, now that I have both set up and running I can see why the 30 latest reviews are 1 star. The modem reboots itself every 30 min, and I sometimes have to unplug it and manually reboot it. Wish I could return, but it’s been too long since I purchased, even though I just opened. DO NOT BUY! Also, it’s ridiculous that it’s Amazon Prime’s #1 recommendation for Modems!

So far Good to go!

Only two years of use before it died.

I was looking at more expensive models, but for my internet speed this one was recommended. Linksys equipment just works. I love it.
JP Linksys –
Not reliable at all. Many outages. Needs to be reset constantly. Have to get a better modem since the return period is over and I do not want to waste more time on it.
Shannon Powell –
working great on my Comcast. Never wasting money renting again.
Wesley Linksys –
Did not work with my Comcast Xfinity service at all. Constantly reset the whole time it was in use making the internet inaccessible.
Tim A. –
I wanted the top speed from my internet provider and I didnt want to do that rent BS so I bought this and I am getting the fastest speed my internet provider offers and it was really easy to set up by just calling your internet provider and giving them the mac address on the modem.
Rskido –
Worked well
Shaina Rivera –
Didn’t work for what I needed. Disappointed that I can’t return it now.
