Just plugged it in and it connected, works with spectrum.

I installed this on a Comcast/Xfinity connection, and as soon as the company put the cabling in and brought it live, this worked without any intervention. Three connections: power, cable input, and ethernet, and good to go.

Cheap product does not give result. I was getting 5 mbps speed with this modem. I was fighting with xfinity guys but problem was this modem. Better spend 50 usd more and buy good quality product.
Ted –
I subscribed to a 10 Mbps internet service but the speed test showed that it was downloading at 11 Mbps. When I tried with a Netgear CM500, I was getting 10 Mbps only. It was 10% faster than the one from Netgear.

It works as in the description. A+

I got this for doing online meetings. My building has wifi but it is too shoddy for multiperson calls. This is only for use with an ethernet cable, not for use with wifi. It works super great. The connection is stable and clear. Ethernet Internet is much less expensive than wifi. The lady from Comcast was super helpful with the on the phone set up and made it easy. Just having a modem is the way to go $25 a month for crystal clear internet via ethernet cable.

It’s a basic cable modem that you’ll need to attach to a separate router. It works just fine.

When I looked for a modem, i wanted one without the built-in router. For one, it’s cheaper, but more importantly, it is easier to replace if it fails. With combo modem/router packages, if one fails, you have to replace the whole thing. In addition, modems don’t change too much, which gives an easier path to upgrade the router over time. This Motorola modem was easy to install right out of the box, with intuitive color-coded plugs. It paired well with a router and has been reliable in performance.
