I should have upgraded to the C7500 long ago from the C7000. I now get much greater range, but more importantly my WiFi speed throughput has increased by at least 30%. This is very important to me since I have cut cable and stream all of my viewing on 4 TV’s. Easy to set up. Has a bigger footprint than the C7000, so it takes more shelf space, but that wasn’t a problem for me.

Decided on this model after Apple bowed out of the Airport line of products, and since I didn’t see any reason to keep up separate cable modem and routers – may as well just combine them into one thing. I also took the opportunity to upgrade my ISP service since I was on a grandfathered plan from Time Warner prior to them changing over to Spectrum. So long story short, between this significant upgrade in hardware and an upgrade in my internet service, I’m not getting crazy fast speeds on 5G. This router is what I’d refer to as a “tank” – it’s quite big and heavy, which may not be ideal for some people but for me its just fine. I have a large house and I wanted a device that could cover the entire property and be able to get through walls for outside devices like a ring doorbell. I did buy a cheap Netgear WiFi extender to help boost the signal going to the ring device, but other than that I’m able to get online from anywhere in my house and with really incredible speeds. The setup was very easy, although I’m pretty savvy when it comes to computers & tech. Most people won’t need to monkey with the settings beyond just getting their SSID’s setup. Other than that, I’m not sure what else to say – it’s a really powerful modem/router combo that delivers great speeds across multiple devices that are all accessing the router simultaneously. Not many better routers out there IMO – this one is definitely recommended.

The WiFi signal on this is amazing – I have this in a downstairs room in the front corner of the house and have 5G through both floors of a 4000 square foot house. Install was a breeze. My only complaint is that it will NOT support Spectrum’s 400 speed. One I had this installed and activated, I called Spectrum to upgrade my speed, but the speed never got any faster. I called back the next day and someone else advised that this modem does not support the higher speed. I’m back to 200, but my WiFi is still over twice as fast as it was throughout the entire house without a need for my mesh network.

We had this product for about 2 months. During that time our 2.4 GHz WiFi would randomly drop and not return until we restarted the modem. We were in contact with Netgear support and Xfinity the entire time. After two months the device completely died and would not turn on. Even though it died within 3 months of having it, we were not able to return it to Amazon and now have to get a replacement through Netgear, which cost me extra for shipping. Very disappointed with this purchase and would not recommend.

I just replaced my older Netgear modem/router as it just kept dropping and did not perform well after 3-4 years of use. It was due for a replacement. This new AC3200 was so easy to setup! I just plugged it in, connected to the signal using my phone, and was auto initiated to download my comcast modem settings. I had it ready to rock within 7 minutes of unboxing. I could immediately tell the difference in performance and loading speed immediately.

Well… I took a chance on this refurbished product. Thought I had beat the system. Got a great deal on a great modem router combo. Well… Not so much. After about 3 months I realized why it had been refurbished. The system began to be unrecognizable to a pc and also my blink system. The UI is also impossible to communicate with, no longer displaying the easy interface and constantly requesting the already entered admin password, even after several hard reboots. Not going to blacklist netgear, but wondering what problems they fixed when they refurbished it?

After like 6 months, I am now at teh conclusion I never want another router or modem from Netgear EVER. It drops several times a day so I have all 4 networks set up in order to switch to another network before being forced to power cycle it. I am plugging into a programmable power supply so I can easily power cycle the unit without having to get up and go downstairs into the IT closet to do. I have massive issues with the signal on Apple devices, as well as Windows, Linux and Android. It doesnt discriminate its just absolute trash. For $400 I was expecting the be-all end-all f modem routers, and got trash. So I am off ot try TP Link or simply switch to using Ubiquiti or other WAP solution instead. I would not recommend or buy this EVER again.
