This is my 4th try at a router and I have tried all of the top one’s Linksys, Belkin etc. I have been trying to find a replacement for my Linksys WRT54GL which in my view was the best wireless router made. I have had this for a few weeks now and I get 5 out of 5 bars everwhere in my 2 story house. I have no problems at all.

I have been a fan of Netgear products for a while. My last three wireless routers have all been Netgear. I swap out my routers every few years in favor or faster routers. I have only been using the R6300 for a few weeks but so far so good. The installation was super easy. I was able to install it, set up my password, establish a guest network and launch it in a matter of about 15 minutes. None of my devices had any problem connecting. The range is awesome. I can be down my driveway and 1.5 houses away before I loose the signal.

There are less expensive options for basic wireless needs but when using wireless internet for things like Xbox Live, this level of WiFi Routers do make a difference – no more complaints from the kids! It also effortlessly lets multiple devices share the WiFi as well. We also upgraded our cable modem as well which allowed us to get our maximum internet speed from Cox.

I own a R6300. It was even a refurbished model. I have had zero problems with it. in fact I recommend DDWRT as a firmware replacement and it will be better than most routers with some moderate configuration, and research. update your router asap as older versions of the firmware had some issues!
