I purchased 2 of these units – one for the basement and one for our upstairs of our modest sized newish house. Our wifi router is on our main floor. It took all of 5 minutes to set up each one following the prompts to clone our existing 2.4 and 5 ghz networks. We definitely notice that the wifi is fast and has full strength where it was previously very slow/intermittent in places of our house where the main wifi had to go thru many walls. The wife likes it because now the internet is fast all over the house and it doesn’t look like a gaudy high-tech piece of equipment. It looks kind of like a nightlight or something else that doesn’t attract attention, which is a plus. It also leaves the bottom plug open for other things.

I don’t want to jinx it; but this thing is great. Our router is upstairs in the office which is on one corner of the house; but on nice days I like to sit in our “sun room” and work there. Before I would barely get a signal and would sometimes have to resort to tethering. But now this thing set up at the bottom of our stairs gives such a boost; connecting to the 5G I now get 30mbps to 50mbps both down and up on average over the air which is pretty darn good for where we live. Definitely worth the buy if you have a dead zone in your house/small office space.

The product unfortunately did not work. The device powered on, but failed to connect. All of the set up options were tried as well as some that were posted by fellow owners of the device. After contacting tp-link customer service and spend almost two hours trying to set up the device they said it was faulty. I had read that many have had trouble setting up the device, but were eventually able to through trial and error. Sadly this was not the case for me and so I have sent it back for a refund. The package arrived on time and in perfect condition, but that’s about the only positive other than the tp-link customer service representatives were very nice and tried their best.

This product does exactly what it’s intended to do! I got it to increase the WiFi coverage on the second floor of my home and it works like a charm! It has truly eliminated the dead spots in my home. Now instead of getting a weak signal on the second floor in my home, all of my devices are showing a max signal or next to max! I was able to unplug my DVD player from a powerline ethernet port and use the 5Ghz signal through extender and it’s working wonderfully! And my kids haven’t complained one bit now about losing their signal when they take their devices upstairs. I’ve only had it for a few days, so, I’ll update if things go awry afterwards.Oh yeah, definitely pay attention to where you place it! That will make all the difference. The instructions say place it midway between your router and your devices. Well, I originally placed this on the main floor of my home (since my router is in the basement) and the light for the 5Ghz stayed red (poor signal strength). I moved it to the second floor of my home (on the side of the house where the router is in the basement) and it’s working perfectly now!Pros:Easy to set up (I used the browser option)Great signal strength (for both 2.4 and 5 Ghz)Great price (much cheaper than extenders I’ve seen in other stores)Cons:Delivery time was horrible (it took much longer than advertised)

Bought this in hopes of making my signal stronger and reaching my rom so that I may watch mivies and such on Netflix. It works great for about 20 minutes. Then drops signal. ALL THE TIME!!! I have a networking degree and know a little about computer networking and the only thing I can diagnose is that I got what I paid for. If I were you… Definitely spend the extra buck and go with something stronger. Also, maybe go with another brand too.

So far I’m very pleased with this. Ac is definitely worth upgrading to. I had a netgear 2500 working as my extender and it was only giving me around 8mbps down consistently. Other times I could get around 15 Mbps down but not consistently. Im getting 75 Mbps from the cable company. YA! So far this repeater had extended my network and is giving me consistent speeds from 50-65. I’m at very satisfied with my purchase.

Love this thing, helped to extend wifi range in to farthest room that didn’t get signal through 3 walls. It looks nice too! Easy to setup, love it!

As my room is the only dead spot in the house, I hated having to use my data on my phone 90% of the time. This really made a difference!

Our main router is upstairs, and I live in a downstairs in law unit. Let me tell you the speed difference I was experiencing without the RE 200. The people upstairs were getting speeds of 100MB, while downstairs I was cruising along at 2mb :'(, with constant dropped signals.Well, now I’m averaging speeds of 20MB or more and no connectivity issues. Sure it’s isn’t 100MB, but I’m not greedy and it’s so much better than 2mb.Thanks TP-Link!!
DasBier –
Great repeater, increases Wifi signal into the driveway so I can load directions or music while I start the car. Before I got this, the Wifi would drop in and out and it would take forever as the phone could not decide whether to connect to the cellular network or Wifi. The signal is also strong enough that, come summer, I should be able to sit on the back deck or lay in the hammock and stream music or videos on my tablet without the signal constantly dropping/pages taking forever to load. Also, the repeater is very energy efficient. I was concerned this would turn into another phantom energy hog, but it draws only 2.3-2.5 W, for a weekly draw of less than 0.5 kWh. I estimated from the Kill-a-Watt readout of only about 2 kWh/month so this should not be a huge phantom energy hog.

I only received this yesterday, but I’m already pretty amazed at how much faster my internet speed is at the far end of our house. Took about 5 minutes to set up and I lived it twice before finding the best out of the way place to leave it plugged in.My router is dual hand, as is this device, and i suspect the speed increase is actually due to finally being able to access the 5ghz band. And my latency is only 20ms, which is better than the powerine Ethernet I was using.I am facing one issue I may need to contact support to get help for: my upload speeds are very low. 2mbps won’t kill my browsing, but will severely limit moving files around my house and streaming video from my office. Hoping that only requires some tweaking.Edit: I tested my speed standing next to the router and was only able to reach a 3 Mbps upload. This makes me believe there is an issue with my FIOS connection as I just upgraded to the new router this week. Same latency, so the extender doesn’t appear to be causing any delay at all.

Using item for an original xbox 360 with Ethernet(cat5) only internet connection(no built in wifi). Item arrived in prefect shape. Plugged into wall and connected to xbox with Ethernet cable. Pushed the wps button on router and ac750 wireless link and xbox gets better download speeds, without optimizing, than my newer 360 slim, with built in wifi. Cheaper than the 360 adapters and probably with more optimization for Ethernet capable products. Wii too.

Strong signal for my two story house. I didn’t think it was working and I called support and they were very helpful. It was working the whole time but I thought there was going to be a different name on the network. Good thing they helped me. Highly recommend this extender and this company.

Wow, that was a fast setup. 5 minutes from opening the box to me (finally) being able to stream music fluidly on my back deck.

I am using this as a repeater of my building WIFI, which is way too weak for my crappy PC to pick up, and this makes the 5G internet miracle happen on my computer again !! LOVE IT

Purchased this to extend the reach of our Blink security cameras which are wireless and connect to the wifi. Went from 1 bar to full bars! Super easy to setup. At first we put it in the wrong place downstairs thinking that was the issue but after moving it to the opposite corner of the house it worked a lot better!

So far so good, I had trouble with my TV box which was not happy with the WiFi dongle, so I am using this for my TV box to give it physical CAT 5 connection. Using this for almost 2 months now without any issues. Initially had little challenges in installation but that was my fault, but once configured correctly I never had to do anything again. Also I am loving the looks of this extender, since I am using this in my Living room the looks of this extender is absolutely great and adding beauty to my gadgets.
Ali Salt –
Took over 25 minutes to set up because it didn’t want to keep it’s connection and once it was set up it didn’t have enough strength to make Netflix work. We tried it in multiple outlets and then decided to plug it in next to the T.V. because Netflix told us it needed to be close to a wifi extender or router. TP-LINK even had a green light meaning connection was “good”. FYI our amazon firestick worked perfectly at our old house so we know it is the internet. Save your money and buy a better extender.
Ashley Freed –
We received the wrong version of this and there is no exchange option, so we would have to return it and order again and hope we get the right item. Very frustrating!
Michael Mangano –
Have Comcast but use my own Netgear N600 router. This extension works wonderful on the other side of my house. Easy instructions to install.
Nolan6ⁿ –
I live in a rather small house, but my upstairs would lose wifi signal at night. We only stream our TV, so it was really frustrating if we wanted to watch anything upstairs as it would constantly freeze and need to be rebooted. In addition, my cell phone signal would be going back and forth between wifi and my phone carrier network every few minutes so it was difficult to get anything to load on it. I purchased the TP-Link AC750 Dual Band wifi range extender and I haven’t had any issues in my upstairs since. No more freezing, buffering, or lags on my phone or TV!
EeZeEpEe –
I’m using this with my Frontier FiOS Arris NVG468MQ router and it works perfectly fine for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. The router is towards the front of the house and is actually very strong. However, I wanted to make sure I could even get signal in the backyard so I placed the repeater in the back of the house. The settings page is easy to navigate and you can see the signal strength of either band. There’s even options to boost one or the other but not both. Basically you can boost the routers 2.4 GHz over the repeater’s 5 GHz or vice versa. Overall I’ve been very satisfied with it for the last 4 months.

I bought this and the net gear extender. People, buy this one! Oh my gosh… the I buy power computers I have kept disconnecting from the NetGear one. This one has been solid so far no disconnects yet! And check the out the speed!

I love this tiny tp link extender, works like piece of cake. I bought this couple of weeks ago and since I got this my connection is steady and strong. Used to barely get 5mbs but with tp link extender connection speed stays between 35-53mbs. Today went up to 69mbs
BostonGuy1989 –
I had some difficulty setting this up manually so I decided to use the WPS feature which worked great. Unfortunately, the connection drops constantly. It will work fine for a minute or so, and then it will drop connection for 30 seconds. Then back to working great. Then drop again. It’s really frustrating.
DTV –
It improves the range, but it cuts down the speed drastically. I returned the product. You can check the speeds in the screenshots of the speedtests attached.

I’m rating this 5 stars, but please note that I have only had this thing set up for an hour at this point. I’ll come back and adjust my review if my opinion changes.First, the initial impressions.1. The box is small. It’s a little larger than a light bulb box that would hold a single light bulb.2. The box is shrink wrapped. Ugh. Minor inconvenience, and minor amount of non-recyclable material. (Suggestion to TP Link: Don’t shrink wrap it!)3. The device is TINY! It’s the size of a stinking night light! (I’ll include a picture of it plugged in.)4. You take it out of the box, and plug it in.5. You turn on your computer, select the temporary WIFI network “TP_LINK_something_or_other”, open a browser, type in an address, and 2 minutes later you’re all set up.I purchased this to add WIFI to an outdoor area that wasn’t getting any signal from inside the house. Now, I have “all the bars” sitting outside. Exactly what I wanted as a result, and surprisingly painless to get set up and working.Pros:1. Small2. Easy to set up3. Seems fast4. All packaging is easily recyclable (except for the stupid shrink wrap)5. The box design is honestly and obviously brilliant! (not that you care, because you just take it apart and recycle it)6. I checked signal strength using the WiFi Scanner program. Everything looked great.Cons:1. The setup process could have been slightly more automated using the automated WIFI login feature (like the first time you go to Starbucks), so you didn’t have to type in a URL (very minor)2. Shrink wrap (very minor)So at this point, I’m very happy.

No fuzz, no BS. This guy just works.I had the NETGEAR N300 WiFi Range Extender (EX2700) for 3 months and that’s it. It stopped working. I could not use with my phone or tablet anymore. My cameras and outlets, all dead.So I gave up on this POS, and got a TP-Link AC750 Dual Band Wi-Fi Range Extender (RE200)Wow! What a difference. No ugly antenna outside, no boring boxy design. Actually it looks like a pad, even the box, and the box colors used make it look like a personal hygiene product. The setting process is fast and easy, the app is so amazing, everything works, cameras are working fast, I have my outlets back.I could not be happier.BTW, I am returning the Netgear. You need to call the support, what sucks because the product is defective, and it’s still under warranty, but, of course, they make everything complicated. Netgear setting is stupid, the app is totally useless, and the product sucks. The only thing I didn’t like about the TP-Link is you cannot change the password for the Extended SSID. You can change the SSID, to any other name you want, but the password remains the same as the original wi-fi you have.Oh, also, the Ethernet port is not very well positioned. OK it’s in the bottom, not in the center, a little to the right, but, not enough. It should be on the extreme corner. If you try to use the Ethernet port and connect any device on the bottom outlet, the cable will be in the way.

Disappointed. This was a gift and it came cracked and bent and will not work.
Suliman –
I do not recommend this RE200-AC750 Wi-Fi Range Extender. It’s not stable AT ALL, not reliable and there’s a huge, huge decrease in the Internet speed.I faced an issue with all Apple products connecting to the extender until I updated the extender itself. Also, the range of the extender is not that good and it doesn’t pick up the signal easily.I used to like TP-Link products but now, I just don’t know. One more thing, It’s advertised with “High Speed Mode” but there’s no instructions on how to enable it in the owner’s manual or anywhere else. I tried contacting the customer service support but they told me that It’s not supported…etc I don’t know if the feature is really not supported and that’s just false advertising or they don’t know what they’re talking about unfortunately.Disappointed.
Alex –
So far, so good. It does as it is advertised, I bought this for my parents due to their house being so big that Internet wont reach a few rooms. I had to set it up through my phone since they don’t have a wifi capable desktop. It works great and they can now use the wifi in the other rooms.

Easy to work setup menus, once connected the device works fine with latency and speed test results comparable to my 5G wireless gaming laptop and 1,000 Kbps Ethernet hardwire.Perhaps this is something you can try if you’re having problems connecting your Verizon 5G router. —The device would scan for wireless networks and could “see” my neighbors, but it was unable to “see” my Verizon 5G wireless router. I downloaded and applied the latest TP-Link firmware upgrade but it made no improvement. Through trial-and-error I eventually changed the Verizon router wireless channel settings from “Automatic” to channel “36”, then the TP-Link connected and worked just fine (see attached screen image). This device gets HOT, which concerns me about longevity. Heat kills electronics. I feel they should have left a few ventilation holes or slots to allow heat to escape.Does not come with an Ethernet cable, plan to buy or supply your own if needed for your project.
J McCarthy –
This was really difficult to setup, I ended up calling the company and having them walk me through the setup. After that my devices automatically connected to the old network which was a pain but this works as described. Once all my issues were sorted out this works well. Hard to setup and get started, easy to use later.
OscarTheGrouch –
I got two of these for my house to help boost WiFi mainly to some security cameras I have around the house.Set up was pretty straight forward with the computer and worked relitively fast to connect the extenders to my network. After getting both extenders going I moved them to their positions near my cameras, check to see how the signal streagth was improving and found a minimal difference(from 1/4 to 2/4 bars) with it place about 5’ away and only one door, no change of door was opened.Next within about 20-30 minutes I lost all the camera feeds for my system. Unplugging the extenders fixed the problem. Tried to reset and redo the set up but had the same issue. Not sure what is going on here, says I have good connection to my router. Also speed test with phone next to camera without extender was faster, with extender speeds dropped

I have a nice fiber wifi connection that often gets me between 75-100 mbps download and upload in the downstairs area of my home. I recently took a job where I need good wifi upstairs (video conferencing stuff), and my connection upstairs was hovering around 4-6 mbps up and down (it’s on the opposite end of the house away from the router). I bought the AC750 and it increased my upstair signal to allow me to get around 40 mbps up and down. I highly recommend it, if you need a better signal in a far area of your home that the wifi doesn’t reach very well.It was VERY easy to install (took me about 3 minutes to have it up and running). Literally anyone could hook it up. So if you need a stronger wifi in a different area of your home or business, I recommend the AC750. It has been GREAT for me.
jpv –
First off, I must admit – I have a TP Link AC1750 router, but my assumption is the setup is exactly the same. What I really liked about this extender was that I don’t have ethernet ports in my macbook pro nor my phone. No problem – just connect to this, type in a web address or an IP address, connect it to the router and boom! You’re done! I was having issues with my iphone XS connecting to the 2.4ghz network so I needed 5ghz across the entire house. I have a rather large house and with the router and this extender, 5ghz connects throughout the entire home. I’ve attached pictures so you can see how it blends in and has a slim profile.Again – easy to setup, incredibly functional and an overall 10 out of 10 from my experience with extenders.

This couldn’t be easier to set up and then relocated it to our master bedroom where videos tend to give us the spinning wheel of doom! I did a Speedtest right before and then after plugging it in and attached the numbers. I’ll take double the speed!
Wi!! F£Ñ –
Beyond happy with this product. I live in a 2 level house and the master bedroom was a DEAD 💀 zone. I bought this extender just to try to resolve the issue. Before, I couldn’t watch a YouTube video without buffering/slow speed. Once I plugged this bad boy, I watch Netflix with no issues. I even streamed 4k content to see if there would be any lag but nothing.Set up is very easy and the Tehther app is very simple and easy to use and tells you how many devices are connected to the 2.4Ghz or the 5 GHz signal So that you can ensure that one network is not over crowded.Final verdict: For the price…I would absolutely recommend!!!
InquisitiveGuy –
Simple setup using WPS. Installed the TP-Link Tether app and renamed the connection to decipher between the extender and gateway connections. Found a happy spot between the gateway and PlayStation 4 needing better reception to improve speeds. Able to achieve 100% signal strength. Not really impressed with the 2.4Ghz speeds. The 5Ghz speeds were more impressive but still averaged around almost half of maximum speed.
V –
The picture shows after I take off the extender, the downloading speed is even faster. So actually it’s slowing down the WiFi speed. Not I wanted, return.
Sal Kabalani –
When it is all said and done, and regardless of all the fancy networking jargon, the purpose for any repeater is to provide sufficient wireless access reliably where none existed before. This product does the job and it took me two minutes to set it up.

This product definitely helps your wifi

UPDATE 9/25/19- Changed to 1 star. This product has been randomly disconnecting from my wireless connection for the past few months. Considering I bought this to use for wireless surveillance cameras, this means that routinely I have an error from my app stating that the base station is offline because the extender needs to be unplugged and plugged back in. While I’m at home, this proves to be an annoyance. When I’m out of town, this is unacceptable and makes an expensive security system useless. Will have to move base station next to modem, which negates the whole reason I bought this item. Return window closed, frustrating.Original: Purchased this product because my router is in a room far away from some wireless cameras I have, and this allowed me to run a cat5 from the camera router to this extender in a room closer to the cameras and increased their ready times in my viewing app. This product also had the added bonus of increasing my overall internet speeds on all devices. One of the pictures I uploaded is of my home network and the faster speed one is when I connected to the 5g extender and ran the same speed test on the same site. I would recommend grabbing this if you’re trying to extend your range but also if you want to see a small increase in your speeds.
Customer –
Overall it looks nice and it works. Setup was a lot more involved than I was led to believe. It took a while to get it to even function and for some reason I had to reset it to factory settings before I could use it as if it’s been used before. It does seem to get pretty warm but hasn’t melted yet. I bought this so I could hardwire my smart tv to my 5ghz band since my tv WiFi will only accept the 2.4 band. And it works. But it’s killing the bandwidth. I did a WiFi Speedtest with my phone while connected to this extender and again one connected to the router as you can see in my pictures. Both on 5ghz band. Massive loss through the extender. That and the difficult set up are the reason it’s only getting 3 stars.

I live with roommates, one of which has the ethernet/modem/router/etc. gadgets all piled under a desk in his bedroom. My room is separated from his a small bathroom, a small staircase, and my closet which has sliding doors made of mirrors and white metal. The wifi signal in my bedroom was weak and always cutting out apparently because the mirrors on my closet doors disrupt wifi signal for one reason or another. It was a pain trying to do *anything* that required wifi which is why I finally purchased the TP-Link AC750 wifi extender. Setup took less than ten minutes and largely consisted of waiting for lights to come on after pressing two buttons. The wifi signal in my bedroom has gone from weak to strong. It’s changed my whole online experience for the better.

I am not a real tech savvy person, but this was not super hard to set up using the instructions provided. You first have to set it up in a room near your modem router. Then you can move it where you want, but not out of range obviously. You set up two networks one is 2.4 the other is 5.0. You can actually just set up one if you want. I discovered that because I accidentally put the wrong password in for one so at first there was only one listed.I did find the app not as user friendly. I had to click around to see where to edit the networks. I did eventually figure it out and get them all set up, but it took a little trial and error. It might have been easier had I not mistakenly entered a wrong password the first time. One thing I want to point out is that this thing emits a way slower signal than you will get from your wireless router. Or at least that was the case for me. My internet on speedtest is usually around 150. With the 5.0 signal on the extender I can get 30-40 max and with the 2.4 it’s more like 8-10. From what I read the 2.4 is generally slower but has a better range and is better at going through walls etc. The 5.0 is faster but you have to be closer to the device. One interesting thing that I noticed is that my windows laptop which always is getting disconnected from my main wifi and seems to lag, is faster with this! It’s weird because the main wifi tests out at 150 but lags and snags. With this thing it tests out at about 30 but runs smoothly! I have it connected to the 5.0. So if you have some things that do not work that great on your wifi, this may help. Like I said, I am not techy so I have no idea why, but I am not complaining. One nice thing is that you can change the names of the networks. It took me awhile to figure out how to do it but I did.Overall this item is useful but would be better if it actually repeated the same signal strength that my modem was broadcastingThanks for reading my reviewBecky Brooks

The tp-link – Why all lowercase? Are they trying to be cool like k.d. lang? Whatever : ) – Wi-Fi Range Extender (RE220) was a breeze to set up. The directions were clear and simple. I had it working & installed right out of the box in under 10 minutes (OK, maybe 15 : ). The longest time was determining a suitable place to locate it. So, then, yeah, under 15 minutes.Installation tip: When you are first setting up the RE220 and it ‘recommends’ a network name (SSID) for itself – this will typically be whatever is the name of the network (SSID) you have already running in your house but with an “_Ext” on the end. Don’t use that. I mean, you can but if you truly want to seamlessly extend your network, then name it exactly the same as your home network name and use the same password, as well. This way you will always be on the ‘same’ network as you move about the house.

I bought this to extend my network just a bit more. I didn’t really have a dead spot in my office, but thought it might help boost the signal to the exterior a bit so I could sit outside with stronger signal. Setup was very easy. I used Web Browser setup and no issues. I move this device into my office and into an outlet on the exterior wall. Connecting went as expected: simple. Performance was not as expected. Speed from my office PC while connected to 5ghz network directly: 140mbps down. Speed fro my office PC while connected to this extender: 75mbps down. That’s a pretty big decrease. I’ll have to dig a bit deeper and maybe contact support (during working hours) to see why I’m not getting near the speed advertised (433 mbps). FWIW I do see decent signal strength in the yard, though the speed difference is a bit disappointing.

My brother is an IT guy and I asked him to pick out a WiFi extender and this was what he choose based on the specs. So I bought it and I dreaded setting this up expecting I would need an IT degree to figure it out but it was sooo easy. I pushed a button on my router then a button on the unit and that was all she wrote. I then moved it into the room with the crappy WiFi and now I have full strength WiFi in that room! I’m buying another one for the other end of the house! Awesome price too. Very happy!

Got this to add a TiVo mini to my network currently powered by three eero’s. Setup was simple .. the app is quite slick. My TiVo runs flawlessly. The only negative is the design. I have no idea why they put the Ethernet port on the bottom. If you run an Ethernet cable it will take up the entire outlet. If you plug into the top, the Ethernet cord blocks the bottom outlet. If you plug into the bottom outlet, the top of the unit will block the top outlet. I have it plugged into a small power strip and as you can see it hogs half of it. It makes you wonder if they even tried it when they designed this thing, because they would have definitive the Ethernet port to the side. 5 stars for it working properly, minus one star for the dumb design.

My home wifi router and Apple Airport base station are in the back bedroom/office while the smart TV and Xbox are in the living room a few rooms away. There are several walls between. The signal has always been fairly good but I was looking to up my signal strength (particularly when playing multiplayer games). This TP-Link extender was easy to set up per the instructions and provided two additional extended connections for the living room. Signal strength is up and lag is down (see photos). I’m very happy.

The directions were missleading. What would have taken 5-15 at most, turned into 3 hours of contradiction. Even though having endured idiocricy at its finest moments from written directions to tech support, id still highly reccomend TP wifi extender. Went from 2.4gh band producing 28mbps to a dual 5gh band producing between 230-300 mbps.

I was looking to improve the Wifi signal outside by my fire pit. The current signal was decent but the throughput was pretty low (2-6Mbps) and watching a video would often buffer.I live in a development so I pickup about 10-12 other WiFi signals competing for the wireless space. My router is a fairly straight shot to the backyard however it is through my glass slider which has low e glass (WiFi signal killer). Although the range extender is not rated for outdoor use I only used it for the couple hours while I had a fire in the backyard and then brought it back in.I placed the extender about 30’ from the router and then my phone was 50’ from the extender. Before the extender I was getting between 2-6 Mbps down and under 1 Mbps up. After installing the extender I got between 10-11 Mbps down and 9-12 Mbps up. While it was not a huge jump in speed I did find my throughput was much more consistent which solved my problems when it came to streaming by the fire pit.Overall I am happy with the extender. It performed well in a congested WiFi area and helped stabilize my throughput. I was not thrilled I wasn’t getting close to my full 150Mbps Comcast speed but it was enough speed to use my phone how I wanted it where I wanted.

This range extender did not improve wireless internet speed sitting right next to my laptop. Wireless Internet speed was the same if laptop is connected by Wi Fi to main router several rooms away. However, when I connect laptop directly to ethernet port on extender, the results are fantastic. This extender also has a major design flaw physically. While small in size, it covers both electrical outlets on the wall plate. You cannot plug in another device into the wall socket because the ethernet port on extender is positioned underneath instead of on the side of device. The cable will then block your ability to use the second electrical port. Same problem if you plug into a power strip. It covers four electrical sockets. See pictures that accompany this review. Amazing that this obvious flaw was not caught during quality control.

Would be a 5 as think it its doing what is expected, but sometimes have to disconnect and reconnect for service to start working … could be my phone but have had to do it with laptop as well … all in all, very happy with performance in our hard to reach location which was the reason for purchasing anyway!

The way the room, I’ve turned into my office is set up, they placed the cable port for the internet in a very stupid position that was not ideal for putting my desk and computer. Since I needed to put it on the opposite wall, I also needed a way to get internet to my PC without running cables all over the room. I’m in an apartment and trying to avoid drilling holes or pounding nails into the wall as much as possible.I got the “[New Version] Wifi Extender – AC750 ” in March and I’ve been using it for this very purpose. I plugged it in under my desk which is directly opposite of the wall where my Google Wifi hub that feeds the internet out to the rest of my home is located. It was easy to set up and I plugged my switch into the ethernet port then plugged in my server and main editing rig into the switch. The wifi logins were copied to the TP-Link but you have the option to create new ones just for it if you wish. My ~250Mb/s line is essentially halved when connecting via the TP Extender on 5Ghz and honestly, that’s ok. I don’t really need the full speed in my office, it’s primarily for my 2 TVs and phones that need it for streaming. I still get up to 10Mb/s or higher on my downloads depending on where I’m downloading from, play my games online, watch 4K on YouTube, and upload my videos just fine.If you’re in a situation similar to mine and you’re trying not to run cables all over the place, this is a pretty neat solution. If you’re someone who must have 100% speed to all devices (I don’t blame you), this won’t do. You’ll either need to run a cable or possibly find a better extender.

My unit is not operating at the advertised/specified bandwidth. Brand new, out of the box.Easy to setup, but at only 60′ away from the router in a hallway half way between my office/desk & my router… My wifi connection is weaker but there’s more bandwidth when connected over 5G directly to the router than it is to the extender. Meaning… the extender isn’t passing data at the correct speed.

I did some quick research for a range extender. We had a lower end tp-link router and were happy with it. I decided to go with the tp-link range extender. The issue is getting the Wi-Fi further out to the RV pad. We bought a better dual band tp-link router that really helped. So into the range extender to get full strength.Installation was a breeze with the WPS setup. I quickly connected both bands on the network. I placed the range extender in the bathroom that only had an exterior wall to reach the RV.The result was one bar to not seeing the extender in the RV. I have a better signal from the dual band router. It’s pretty disappointing to say the least. I have a good working knowledge of networks. We used a Netgear extender at our previous house that works great. I have very little interference from the router to the extender and the extender to outside. The screenshot is from my iPhone standing in front of the house where both the router and extender are located. I’m actually standing closer to the extender. Disappointed and returning it.

in the first days it worked perfectly, but after a few weeks I have intermittence in the signal of 2.4Ghz and the 5Ghz signal does not appear and it does not turn on its led indicator, seeing this problem I decided to reset it and it was reconfigured but it still works badly with signal flashing and even the device is within range so you can extend the signal. I hope you give me solution to this problem

I got this because I get very crappy 5ghz wifi signal upstairs on my PC, tablet and phone.Setup was a breeze and took maybe 5 minutes.Initial testing I was getting very crappy speeds on 2.4 and 5ghz. In the area of 30Mbps when I usually get 120Mbps. I set it to “speed mode” which disables the 2.4ghz and puts all the speed to 5ghz. This makes a huge difference. I started getting roughly 90Mbps. Upload speeds weren’t affected at all.In the image attacked, it shows the speed when not on the repeater and with. Roughly a 24% dropoff which isn’t too bad. It went from 1 bar of signal strength to a full 5.

We were getting really poor WiFi reception down in our basement so we needed to find a quick solution. This extender was super easy to set up! It works great and we haven’t had any WiFi issues downstairs since installing it! We’re very impressed and definitely recommend it!!

First of all, if possible use 5G not the 2.4.Secondly, this is the best wifi extender I have used. Our normal router, when close to it, goes up to 300mbps. From my room it dies down to only 18mbps. As you can see from the picture, the 18 is from the original router, the 22 is from the other wifi extender that I was using, the 82 is from this wifi extender. Its amazing how much it jumped from from 18 to 82. Its great.

Wow! This is a simple, effective solution to extending your WiFi signal throughout the house. The setup instructions were easy to follow for a guy in his 60’s. I paired it with both WiFi channels on my router, then plugged it into an outlet upstairs. We are a family of heavy WiFi users: TV’s, computers, tablets and smartphones. I did a speed test on the upstairs computer. It recognized the extender signal as well as the original WiFi signal. The extender signal was twice as fast and did not require a separate password. I was up and running in 20 minutes. Best technology investment (under $30 on Prime Day) I’ve made in a long time.

This think works great is our 2 story house with boosting the signal upstairs. I use it for watching videos in bed because I’m too lazy to walk downstairs.

Connecting was pretty easy. Bought 2. 3 stars cuz 1 loses signal CONSTANTLY on the 2.4. Doesn’t even show up on my phone to connect to!! I have smart devices that don’t use 5 so I NEED the 2.4 for those. One is upstairs, CONSTANTLY having a signal loss on 2.4 & it’s up in our loft further than the 1st one I set up that LOSES the 2.4 more than it has it. This is EXTREMELY frustrating as I have to constantly set up devices and that’s gotten old real fast. Maybe one is faulty I don’t know. I hooked the 1st, further known as “_EXT” wth the WPS system. The 2nd further known as “_EXT Loft” it found it right away in the app. I can sit outside on the deck watch YouTube, Vudu & Netflix in HD on my laptop or tablet & phone on 5. . But I NEED 2.4 and it needs to be constant. In our bedroom not far from _EXT and I’m resetting my LED strips & smart bulbs and now even Alexa every day pretty much. No excuse for this. They came at the SAME TIME!! DID I GET A DUD?Update Aug 4:All the seller has done to rectify this is emailing me things to do to, all things I’ve tried. So I brought the working one downstairs to see if it was the location. Nope the working one is losing the 2.4 signal as well. My wifi app to check signal shows it’s a great area to add an extender, but it’s losing signal. Second one is a dud. Don’t know how much more proof that is, so taking my 3 stars I have gone to a 1. May just return these and 2 that work and have a WAY better honest customer service. RETURNING BOTH. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THESE!

This product is pretty bad after checking with speed test.net I saw that my Internet had went down from 200+ to 30, this is unheard of when buying a product and should be extending it not minimizing it. I would never recommend this product to anyone.

I bought this to improve the wifi signal upstairs in our house. Our modem is downstairs. I positioned this in the hallway about 15 feet away from the modem. My daughter’s signal upstairs is much improved now with this device.I did have some trouble installing it. The WPS wouldn’t work to connect. So, after trying several times and ways (WPS and app) to install, I ended up calling tech support. They were able to walk me through set up using the URL and connecting directly on my computer. I found tech support to be patient and easy to understand.

My neighbor is gracious enough to share her wifi but i don’t get a great signal throughout my place.. This was the perfect fix and Super easy to install. Almost plug and play. I downloaded the tether app and connected the network to the extender then logged on to the new network and now have full signal through my place on every device I have on the network 👍 all you need is the password to the desired network OR access to the router and you’re in

Living in an apt is hard to modify the place and wired it. I have the router on living room and one of bedroom the signal would drop around the room. Was thinking about wiring but found this extender and works great!!.Install took 5 seconds. Out of the box and plug into an outlet. Simple enough. Download the tp link app to setup and again took only couple of mins as long as you follow the app prompts. It creates 2 other ssid (if using both 2.4 and 5ghz signals) called same as ur current wifi but with Ext at the end. During setup you disconnect from ur wifi and connect temporarly to the extender then you can choose which one to connect to. Also simple to check what clients are connected to it.Its recommended to put between the router and the dead zone. Remember the weaker the signal it recieves the weakest will transmit is not a magic box, keep ir in mind while deciding where to install. Speed is great and now finally whole apt is covered. Definitively will get more when we move to a bigger place.Note: sometimes ur device will switch wifi ssid automatically but like our apartment sometimes it doesnt, if your speed start slowing down always check to what device you connected to.

Works as expected: nice to have integrated antennas. Box is marked as 2018 model RE220. I get 85Mbps on 2.4G with the router (tested with iPerf3 using RE220 ethernet port). 5G router has poor signal in my location so I use 5G for the repeater frequency. Picky stuff: The box indicates speed of 300Mbps on 2.4G, and 433Mbps on 5G, so 1) I’m wondering why the RE220 Ethernet only supports 100Mbps? 2). The location of the Ethernet port obstructs the adjacent wall plug (see photos), so I had to use a travel adapter which detracts from the nice design. 3) in my setup I’d like to disable the WiFi repeater, I’m only using this as an Ethernet port, but the settings don’t seem to provide a way to disable WiFi repeater. So three things to improve: add gigabit Ethernet; move the Ethernet port; software update to offer disable WiFi repeater.

updated review; When it works it good, but it drops the internet about once a week requiring a reset. I put mine up high on the wall to get the best reception upstairs as well as downstairs so this reset requires the use of a ladder :(It creates a new network with the same name and _EXT after. I was hoping it would be on the same network as my apple router. But to do a mesh network you have to use one of the few routers that support this device.

WiFi didn’t appear to be good when using the _ext. So I took a picture of the Speedtest results using my the _ext and using the normal WiFi connection. As you can see the _ext is much much slower.

This was one of the easiest pieces of tech that I ever had the pleasure to install and use. Following the instructions, I had this unit up and running in under 5 minutes, and it allows my TV to easily stream the information from the web it needs to run. The TV was having issues connecting to my wifi, but placing the TP-link in between my router and the TV boosted the signal enough for it to connect effortlessly. Overall, a five star product, assuming it continues to work. So far, so good!

The TP-Link AC1200 WiFi Range Extender set-up quickly, and connected easily to our Orbi router following the easy to understand directions. We don’t currently have a mesh network in our house, but we do have two other range extenders. This works well as a third range extender. We put it in a room that had a weak signal, now the signal is good. It worked well for our home network.

My husband is seriously picky about our home network and security. Most of the comments are based on that:-Our passwords are brutal. This product will not allow symbols in passwords used to set up your original TP link account. That’s a bad thing.-This range extender does not the play well with hidden networks. That is not unique to this device, but it doesn’t make my husband happy.-With the way our home is configured, this bridge tried to be a separate network rather than integrating. For most people (i.e. people who aren’t in IT or married to them), this would probably be fine. Our needs are probably a little unusual.

I already have a range extender connected to my Wi fi network. Needed another one for garage because he signal was very weak there. TP-Link has been well-known name in the field of rooters, modems, and other networking devices. This range extender works very well. It’s easy to set up through the app. The connection is instant, and I get very good speeds through this. The extender is pretty small and does not occupy lots of space. One thing that I like the most is that it doesn’t loose the connection frequently. This is a huge bonus because I keep losing connection on the other extender I have and that is frustrating. The app itself is fairly easy to use and very informative about the number of devices connected. It also advises relocating the range extender f the signal is weak.

Well this product does exactly what is advertised. It helps extend the range of your router.Things I liked:*Setup was fairly quickly using the app*Extends both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks*The range of the new network works well. My TV that was on the other side of the house can finally stream movies without buffering every 15 minutes!Things I don’t like:*This extender basically creates a new wireless network, which means that all devices need to switch to the new network and new password. This is a pain in the butt initially, but after you’ve switched all devices that were too far from the router you should be all set. This was the only reason I knocked off 1 star.

I am technology challenged but had no problem hooking this up. Despite spending over $300 on out wireless router, we have dead spots in our house. Before I went and purchased a router that could reach a larger area I decided to try this more affordable option. To set it up you plug it an outlet close to your WiFi router and the power light will become solid. There are 3 different ways you can connect it to the router. I being not so tech savvy opted to download the Tether app (it’s blue with a house with the WiFi symbol inside it). The directions were clear and straightforward. You can customize the network and password. Setup takes less than 10 minutes and then you relocate it to a place further from the router. You connect you device to the new network and enjoy WiFi in previous dead spots. It is very convenient because it just plugs into any outlet and has no additional cords or wires. It is small and compact and slightly larger than an outlet. We have it plugged into our hall outlet and it works perfect and you can hardly tell it’s there. It saved us a ton of money and is very reliable. I would recommend it for anyone needing an extra signal boost!

I am very pleased with this TP-Link product as It works flawlessly and without any problems. The software is very simple to operate and to setup and configure the device which in my case is the TP-Link AC750 WiFi Range Extender. I live in a 2 Story 5000 square foot house and this TP-Link extender has brought GREAT WiFi signal to every phone and computer in the house and a really nice feature is after you have configured it by your router you then unplug it and use the app and keep plugging it in to different dead spots away from the router until the application tells you to Close to the router or To Far away and that is a Great Feature for discovering the best possible spot for it’s placement to work at it’s best and to top that off the TP-Link company emailed me persnally to ask about my experience with the product which is also to me a Great part of a company with Great Customer Service. Thank you TP-Link. A Completely Satisfied Customer.

I live in a 2 story home that isn’t very big. However, my room is almost a dead zone. I get a ok signal with 2.4GHz and almost no signal with 5Ghz. I can’t move anything in my room since where the main router is is in the master bedroom with a shower and lots of walls in the way.I’ve upgraded my PC Wi-Fi and it barely helped. Did some research and while some tell me Wi-Fi extenders don’t really work. I needed to do something and not run a 100ft ethernet cable.Found this one since we currently use other TP link products and gave it a go. After a simple set up. I did a speed test and noticed a huge improvement! Not only was I getting signal. I was at full bars instead of 1 or no signal. Being on 5Ghz really has some good speeds. Especially since I am constantly uploading photos or streaming HD videos.Highly recommend this product and might buy more or get it for my parents since they have a similar issue in their home.

This device helps to extend the wifi a little, but can’t cover as much of the house as I wanted. I initially tried to install this upstairs (our router is on the first floor), but the signal was poor. I moved it down to the first floor about 50’ from our router and it helps to extend the signal to the rooms directly upstairs as well as the garage. However it doesn’t really do anything to help with my problem which is my bonus room upstairs. I’m keeping it because it was relatively inexpensive but long-term I think I’ll need something more powerful.

Setup was pretty easy and after testing 3 different outlets found the one with the ‘best’ placement between the wifi router and my bedroom where the wifi signal is the weakest. Initially it seemed like the extender was going to work but about an hour later my tablet started acting weird and constantly losing connection to the extender. Reconnected it to the main wifi and things returned to normal. At this point I was concerned that the extender was not going to be working so installed the Ookla internet speed test application and in 5 minutes tested the speed on the Main and the Main_Ext in my bedroom multiple times(the area with the weakest signal). Main internet speeds were 150+ and the extender was in the 20’s even though it’s signal was the strongest(see attached image).Unplugged the extender, plugged it back in and the results did not change.Currently returning the extender for a refund.

Bit disappointing and not very happy with the wifi speed using this extender despite showing strong signal.

Super easy to install. Pretty mych just hit the WPS buttons and done. The name of the networks that it creates is whatever the name of your network is and adds an underscore EXT to each

Exelente producto.

I purchased this a few months after purchasing the TP router and noticed that I had great connectivity everywhere in my home except in my bedroom which is way on the opposite side of my house from the router. The WiFi extender is as easy to install as simply plugging it in and adding the device to your home TP network. The new network that gets created will have the same name as the original network but with an “EXT” at the end and it will automatically switch between both networks to whichever has the strongest signal. Signal speed remains the same with either network. The only minor issue I mentioned is that once a month or so I do notice that connectivity with the extender becomes inconsistent. The original router doesn’t have this problem and it is easily solved by simply unplugging the range extender and waiting a few minutes and then plugging it back again. The ext network automatically restarts itself and nowI have a strong connection again. It doesn’t happen often enough to be a problem and when it does happen it is easily fixed so I still have this product five stars. I would recommend.
Customer –
I can only give this product 3 stars, because my WiFi signal is reduced by 59% from 94Mbps(11.75 MBps) to just 39.2Mbps(4.8 MBps). I performed this test in one location, where both signals are strong. This loss seems quit excessive for one extender, but I do not have anything else to compare it to.I will be keeping this product, because the signal itself was greatly extended and even the weak signal is acceptable for my needs; however, I am disappointed overall.Install could not have been easier with my dual-band WPS router. Install took 30 seconds. Does not require tech knowledge.

Set up was very easy via the app. I watched the video on this page before settling up the extender. It works very well, the signal strength is very good. I needed this for a room farthest from the router, the wifi signal always drops so my cellphone would sometimes have to use cellular data. I do not have an unlimited data plan on my cellphone. This product works as advertised, looks sleek & not bulky. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Great product. We live in an old farmhouse and even tho we have the fastest and highest internet service, we just couldn’t get the signal throughout the entire house, or even our upstairs. But once we plugged in this range extender, we now have our 5G throughout the entire house and even the garage! Super easy to install. No hassles. Easy to follow instructions. I posted pics, one with a cell phone for a better idea of the size.

Although I only have the 5gz connected and have the Ethernet cable my speeds cap at 95-97 down/up. This is still a massive improvement over the 15-17 down/up before the extender. Not as advertised but I’m still content with my purchase. Just be aware that you’re actual speed might not be as fast as you would like it be or as fast as it should be.

This product has improved my signal quality in my house. Where as prior I could not receive the 5gb, now I can. The _ext is the boosted signal from the WiFi extender.

This review is regarding the TP Link AC750 (RE220) “New Version”ORDERING AND RECEIVING THE DEVICE:Okay so I have connectivity issues with some devices in my home and if you are reading this, you most likely have the same issue. More specifically, I wanted to connect my PS4 to a 5Ghz network extender via Ethernet cable for faster download speeds as the original PS4 only supports 2.4 Ghz. I ordered this extender because it states that it is dual band and supports 5Ghz frequency with max speeds of up to 750Mbps as the description states. That being said, the box states hat the max speed (5Ghz) is 433 Mbps? Right, that’s the first clue.SETUP:This part was very simple and straight forward. TP Link has an app which makes things very simple to setup. I had no issues navigating the app and setting up the extender with my home Wi-Fi. The device also has a WPS button for quick connection to your home network, but I can’t comment on that as I didn’t use this feature for the initial setup. After setup I updates the firmware as I always do with all devices I initially setup. The firmware version I am running as of this date is: 1.1.1 Build 20191024 Rel. 48180.TESTING SPEEDS:Here’s where things go to crap… My home router is only about 15 feet away from the extender. The signal strength is at full bars. I tested the AC750 extender for both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz. Moreover, in the TP Link app, under “Tools”, It shows an option for “High Speed Mode”. The descriptions is as follows: Router-to-Extender in 5GHz only and Extender-to-Client in 2.4GHz only. My professional background in IT work immediately triggered my IT senses. At this point it’s more then a tingle. I performed multiple speed tests. Tests were performed with the “High Speed Mode” on and off. I performed speed tests on both the 2.4 GHz and 5GHz frequencies. The results were very poor. Fastest speeds achieved were under the 5GHz frequency at 70.1Mbps. Each test was performed 2 times to ensure that the speeds were generally accurate. I then performed speed tests on my home 5GHz network for comparison and to make sure that the network was functioning properly. I have taken screen shot outlining all my findings. Please see the pictures attached to my review.CONCLUSION:Do not buy this extender if you are looking for a fast 5GHz extender. This is not the one to get and you will be thoroughly disappointed. TP Link is misinforming the public by marketing this device as being able to reach speeds of 750 Mbps. It doesn’t even come close. As stated above, the highest speed achieved was 70.1 Mbps. So, do yourself a favor and don’t buy this extender.

I am sure the picture is confusing, however we live in the Burbs of Rockwall, Texas that is 80K city and county. Strangley, intranet service providers are few and services are sketchy at best. We have the fastest out here via AT&T which is the better one to have, the router is in my bedroom and we needed out in Travel Trailer for Grandbaby and Kid stays.I am a techy IDIOT, so I had to use my 16yo daughter to do it. She is a techy person, so my review of “ease to connect” is scewed … by a lot. I will say, we had to move the unit two times, first we put to far away (15ft from second location) and the bars on the phone showed the difference in connectiviety. The second spot was closer to the router, and ended up giving better signal. WE NEVER were able to get all 4 lights, just three.House is a 2 story, 1250ft each level… so the garage is a questionable area for WIFI (backyard was not, dont ask we do not know why). Now we have great wifi and out to the trailer…. We are happy. I bought two by mistake, I see a christmas gift in the future.

This extender just proves once again why TP-Link is the best company out there for Wi-fi products. If you aren’t familiar with the set-up of an extender, etc. then read the quick installation guide first before you do yours. I would suggest to d/l the “Tether” app via the playstore or app store, before you start the set-up process for your device. Make sure to place the device within a foot or so of your router, then when you’re done you can move it where you would like to place it on a more permanent basis. If you use the tether app, this is all laid out for you in a step by step fashion. It literally “holds your hand” and walks you through it. There are three Modes, or ways to set it up. I always find that if I can set it up using an app, then the easier it is with not as many problems. As far as any problems or issues with this device…well, not so much. Actually I had no problems at all with the set-up of it.If you’re thinking about getting this, I would suggest it. Coverage with the 220 is OUTSTANDING!! It also has some tools that will make the process of using it even better and/or easier.Good luck with whatever device you plan on using. If you purchase the 220 then You have plenty of easy/fun times ahead!!!! Good Luck.Ron G.(P.S. I apologize for my pic…no matter what I do when I transfer the pic to this page, it will never straighten up. In my gallery the pic is correct, so I’m unsure of what’s going on)

This has made working from home do-able!The app is simple enough to set up and finally have full Wi-Fi in my home. It’s a bit bigger than a glade plug-in blends in like one too.

I really go out of my way to always buy TP-Link products because they’re priced right and easy to install. Can’t ask for more than that. Their customer service is awesome, too! Can’t complain, highly recommended!

I’m enjoying the performance of this extender. It was super easy to install. Cute design, looks like a scented plug in. One feature I didn’t know I wanted was being able to see what devices are connected. The app includes the IP address and sometimes gives things a funky name, but it’s very simple to update the name.

I did a test sitting right next to the extender. The extender’s signal light is green, which means it is in a good location in terms of its distance from the router (25 ft at most). However, the extender cannot deliver the full speed of my internet. As you see in the picture, I download at around 200 Mb when connected to my router, but when I connect to the extender, I download at 61 Mb at best. I ran this test several times and observed the same result every time. It was a waste of my time. If there is a max speed limit on the extender, they should mention it in the description.

This is for the Tp-Link RE220 Wireless Repeater firmware 1.1.1 20191024 Rel 48180 and hardware version RE220 v1.0.The reason for me to buy the RE220 is the price. It is cheaper than the others.I was using a Netgear N600 Modem/Router and a Urant Wireless-N 300M Router/Repeater for many years without any problem.I moved my Netgear N600 all the way to the front of my house and my computers all the way to the back. The Netgear N600 and the Urant Wifi repeater only support 2.4 Ghz. The Urant could not reach this far, and I want to hook up my computers with 5 Ghz. So, I replaced them with a TP-Link A9 and a RE220. The RE220 is about 20 feet from the A9. The A9 is much faster than the Netgear. The RE220 is very easy to set up. Plug it in and follow the Quick Setup. The web interface is very good. I have my computers, printers, phones, game consoles, and TVs connected to the RE220 in no time. The 2.4 Ghz is pretty strong but the 5 Ghz cannot reach the other end of my house. My primary objective for connecting my PCs to 5 Ghz failed. The RE220 is just 20 feet away from the A9. The RE220 shows the 2.4 Ghz is strong but the 5 Ghz is just good connected to the A9. Laying the RE220 flat face up gives me the best signal. The biggest problem with the RE220 is that none of my wireless switches work with the RE220. I have 3 Wireless switches. I have a TRENDnet TEW-640MB (4 ports), a TEW-647GA (1 port), and a Cisco E1200 (4 ports). None of my computers or printers can get the IP addresses from the A9 DHCP server if connected the switches through the RE220. This is very inconvenient. Some of my PCs and printers do not have WiFi. If I connect the wireless switches through the Urant, everything works. With the RE220, I have to either put static IPs to the computers and printers or double nat with the Cisco. Support is very good but they cannot resolve my problem.I have the RE220 running for couple months without any problem. Everything works great. I have some pictures.5 stars.

Wi-Fi connectivity is only modestly improved with fluctuations in signal strength. Not exactly a solid but.

Haven’t had any issues thus far and easy to install and definitely works with internet performance.

I didn’t realize it has its own “-EXT” network when I searched for WIFI, but after realizing & connecting to that network while in the WIFI dead zones I now have full bars of WIFI.

I purchased this item on May 18,2020 and the return window was June 19,2020 well today is 6/27/2020 and the product stopped working on 6/25/2020 so buyers beware. It has had the same one light for the past two days even after being moved multiple times for better signal. Oh forgot to mention the product doesn’t come with instructions so thank goodness for Google.

Finally an extender that was very easy to install and most importantly works great all the time. The old unit (someone else’s) seemed to go in to stand by mode, not much fun when your turning on Hulu. I saw a CNET review on this and they are spot on, low cost and our performs.

It works and was easy to set up.. however it cut my speed in half and that’s not what I was looking for.. the extender is about 20’ from my router with no walls in between.

Worked for about a month. Then no longer blue to connect to anything.
