What This Product Does
Wireless N Speed up to 450Mbps
Dual-Band
Dual Band is the latest wireless technology allowing the adapter to connect with a 2.4GHz or 5GHz network. This allows you to check e-mail and browse the Internet using the 2.4GHz band or stream HD movies and other media on the 5GHz band. The advantage of working on the 5GHz band is that, unlike the crowded 2.4GHz band shared with microwaves, cordless phones and other wireless networks, it has much less interference and can provide a more stable wireless signal, which is ideal for online gaming and HD video streaming.
WPA / WPA2 Encryptions
WPA/WPA2 encryption standards ensure your wireless connection is safe from intruders.
Easy Setup
Either using the optimized user interface and setup wizard or the CD (included) setup wizard will allow you to get ‘online’ quickly and easily.

I purchased this item for my Dell Dimension 4700 desktop media edition PC. It is an 8 years old PC. It still works great and I upgraded the memory to 4 Gig of ram. So it still works great. I made our extra room to an office but I did not want to move all the cable and modem. So for less than $40 now have a wireless 8 years old desktop. I purchased the PCI express because i already used the extra PCI for the firewire. It did not matter because it worked perfectly. The only tool I used was a screw driver. Just run the disc that came with it and follow the instruction. You can install it in less than 20 min. including the unplugging of cables. Ill attached pictures of how it ended up. Good product for the price. I highly recommend this product.

I have to admit I wasn’t expecting this to be as fast as it is. But I got my computer on the other side of my house and have full 100% connection to my router and very vast speeds.Hooking the thing up was very simple too. Here’s my speeds from speedtest.net[…]

I was looking for the best wireless PCI adapter for the price and came across the N900. There are definitely cheaper options out there but I am very happy with this purchase. Easy install with no issues.

Nice and stable 5G connection from only a router (Netgear Nighthawk) in a basement, up to the second floor…

Easy plug in to my HP desktop p6733w. comes with a disk loaded with software .worked perfectly. Fast ! it is so fast i dont even use my ethernet cable anymore! picks up wifi for blocks around! 10 times better than usb wifi.

I have 60mb Cable Internet and just installed this to replace my ancient wireless card. The old one would only top out at 20mb or so. This card uses every bit of my 60mb connection and then some! See photo for speed test results, desktop is about 25 feet from the modem. Highly recommend this wilreless network card!
Larry B. Killian –
This card is amazingly fast, I was getting 45mbs download speeds with it. Glad I chose this card, highly recommend as a wireless solution for your tower.

I used to have lag spikes where I go from 100ping to 500 ping, and I have hard times finding wifi connections. This adapter has made my ping stable at 100 and I find wifi networks that I have never discovered before! It really saved my life. I won’t guarantee that it will provide a huge improvement. But the old wireless adapter that came with my motherboard is a really cheap made one. It was only worth 5$, good job HP! Anyways, I have used this adapter for a year and I rarely have any disconnections or anything.

Works as advertised, great connection speed. Drivers downloaded automatically, no need for included disk with Windows 10. Full bars when connecting with both 2.4GHz and 5Ghz.

Avoid this card if you have Windows 10!!!!I used to be very happy with this card…until I upgraded to Windows 10 and it has been a nightmare since then. The card began dropping the Wi-Fi internet connection a couple of days after installing Windows 10 on my machine. When the difficulties began I figured they might be because of outdated drivers and a fairly recent new OS. To my disappointment TP-Link hasn’t put out new Windows 10 drivers for this card and the complaints of people having problems are documented on this TP-Link forum thread: […]Until that problem is fixed I am giving this card 1 star for forcing me to do 2 fresh Windows 10 installs, 1 Windows 8.1 fresh install (roll-back) and a tech support call to my ISP to get a router replacement. A total hassle!

Great case 🙂 easy to use.

Installation was fairly easy and I, to my surprise, got the same speedtest results with Ethernet cable save for the ping which was 5ms formerly. Its the perfect consumer grade wireless card.

If you have a Dual Band Wireless Router (that means it’s able to emit 5 GHz frequency), make use of it!Here is my Setup so you can understand what this product may do for you:CableVision: Ultra package with 50 MbpsWireless Router: TP-LINK AC1900 Dual Band Wireless AC Gigabit Router (Archer C9)Distance: About 30 feet away from Router with 2 doors and a ceiling in betweenInternet Speed:—–With this product: ~54 Mbps (see image) connected to 5 GHz Band—–With TP-Link wireless adapter TL-WN722N (150 Mbps): ~25 Mbps connected to 2.4 GHz Band (because it could not reach the 5 GHz Band)Pro:-Able to reach 5 GHz signal (4 bars, sometimes 2 bars, but the 5 GHz is so much faster than the 2.4 GHz)-Easy installation: Just plug and play for me; no extra driver/utility/software needed-Works with Windows 10 pro (I don’t know about Windows 10 alone)Cons:-None, it’s a huge upgrade from my wireless adapter.-I don’t know too much about computers, maybe just more than the average person, but check if you have the PCIe port on your motherboard before investing money in this.-Make sure your wireless router is dual band! and it has the 5 GHz frequency. You don’t want to pay for an extra feature you don’t even have! If you do not have 5 GHz frequency, then buy the other network cards that are cheaper and do not support dual band.Recommendations:-If you are using a wireless adapter and need to upgrade, I highly recommend this product. The other TP-LINK network cards do not support dual band, so it’s best to get this if you have a 5 GHz signal. I am not an expert in this, but I feel like the 5 GHz signal that my Dual Band Router emits allows me to take full advantage of the 50 Mbps from my internet package.-The 54 Mbps does wonders to my download speed. I am able to download TWO 1-hour long YouTube videos in milliseconds. I am able to buffer to areas of the video that hasn’t loaded yet, and the video will load instantly.I do also have an extremely strong computer, so that might be a factor in download speed. My computer consists of the following:-CPU = Core i7 5820k 6 core 3.3 GHz-GPU = GEFORCE 960 4 GB-RAM = DDR4 2666 16 GB-PCIe SSD = 256 GB (the latest Samsung SSD)Hope this helps.

The TL-WDN4800 comes with both full-height and short mounting brackets. It comes with the full-height bracket installed by default and the card worked fine straight out of the box without any issues. I did ignore the mini-CD that came with it (mostly because I don’t have a CD drive) and downloaded the drivers off of TP-Link’s website. It doesn’t feel any slower than Ethernet (and Speedtest confirms that it isn’t slower) and it maintains a stable connection. The TL-WDN4800 is a great and affordable dual-band wireless card.

Windows 10 users: this worked for me out of the box before I even installed the drivers on the disk. The utility included didn’t do much for me, but don’t worry about this only being 8.1 compatible.I doubt it’s relevant, but just in case, I’m using a GA-Z170X-UD3. Results attached for wired and wireless connections.

Excellent speed and fits HP Elite book 8300

I purchased this WiFi module to use in a home built PC that I built last year. I have spent some time with the card, and have gotten to know it for about the last 6 months. I have not had any issues with internet connectivity, and this thing has been a dream to use. The only thing that I feel is missing, is a Bluetooth receiver. I knew that it did not have this capability going into it, so I can’t fault the product for that. This thing is a one trick pony. It receives a WiFi signal, and that is it. It does do that very well though. It also receives 5 Ghz WiFi, which is excellent.I can’t speak to the range capabilities of this module, because I am using it in a large desktop, which is in the same room as the wireless router from which it gets its signal. I will say that the speeds I am getting out of this card are consistently the same as they would be if I were on a wired connection. I live in a rural area, and as such, I only have DSL available to me. My max DL speed is 12Mbps, and this thing easily pulls down 13Mbps. If you are looking to add WiFi capabilities to a desktop PC, I highly recommend this product.

I’ve already went through 2 of these. The first one was great when I first received it and started using it. I would get anywhere from 80-100mbps on my desktop. But after about a year or so, it started to act up and I would only get 60mbps while my desktop is getting around 5mbps. I am now returning it completely and have already ordered the ASUS network wifi adapter. My home internet should receive well over 200mbps when directly connected through the ethernet cable. The router is in the next bedroom sitting out in the open with nothing blocking it.

Packaging was easy and clear to take out of the box. Quite small.Setting up was simple as 1, 2, 3.And that’s about it GOOD NIGHT!Oh by the way i’m using a Netgear Nighthawk X4 AC2350 router and my PC is 24-ft away with it behind my room. Here is what I get…

Great WiFi connection especially to a 5.0 Ghz channel. Great starting adapter for a great price.

First day using it but so far it’s awesome. I’m getting better speeds than I was on a hard wire somehow?? So far this thing is great. I notice absolutely no difference from using a hard wire and I’m roughly 35 feet from my router using a 5 Ghz connection. The test I’ve made are unbelievably stable as far as the bandwidth goes. Other wifi adapters I’ve used have jumpy bandwidth for exapmle a chart will spike up/down as you’re doing a load test on it. This one is smooth as butter.. I wish I would’ve gotten one of these instead of buying a CAT5 cable and running it accross my basement. Oh well.. Now I have it! :)I’ve gone through about 3 USB WiFi Adapters and they’re all extremely inconsistent and lag or just have terrible speed. For example 1 speed test will be 60 mbps the other will be 20 and so on, the speed tests with a bandwidth gauge (speedtest.com) show a needle that will bounce around like crazy with the USB ones. This one just smoothly goes up to ~65 mbps and sits there.I recommend this adapter to ANYONE who needs or wants WiFi on their desktop.

All i can say is that my BEFORE Download speed was around 8mbps and AFTER was 80mbps. I would not write this review if this did not happen! The best thing that has ever happen to my desktop. I should have had done this a long time ago..Works great as Ehternet hardline!

The 5 star reviews don’t lie. Awesome price, quality and performance. Easy buy and easy recommend. Go out and get it.
