The Arris NVG599 DSL Modem is one of the few DSL modems manufactured by Arris and features a wide array of robust features. This model is compatible with AT&T services on Gigapower plans and includes support for phone. This model also includes concurrent dual-band wireless, helping boost your signal strength to the further reaches of your home. The NVG599 supports internet download speeds of up to 1 Gbps.

 

Wifi Speed & Coverage with the NVG599

This model comes with an integrated dual band wireless router, however ModemGuides technicians highly recommend installing a separate router or additional range extending access point(s) to handle the wireless on this device since the built in router may not be adequate for larger homes. Additionally, the NVG599 can be partially bridged in order to prevent loss of signal quality from your wireless router's network. For medium or smaller homes, or if dead zones aren't an issue for your location, this modem can be used on its own, or with a repeater or range extender instead of a router.
