The Zyxel C3000Z modem for CenturyLink offers dual-band WiFi that supports gigabit speeds up to 1.7Mbps (5GHz) and 430Mbps (2.4GHz) on each of its two simultaneous wireless networks. This VDSL2 modem also activates extremely easily with CenturyLink service. For use with other providers, please contact your provider before ordering to confirm compatibility with your service plan.
The Zyxel C3000Z modem supports wired download internet speeds of up to 200Mbps, and upload up to 100Mbps. In addition to wired speeds, this model features an integrated Dual-Band WiFi router that supports combined speeds up to AC2200 - 1.7Gbps over 5GHz band and 430Mbps over the 2.4GHz band.
In the past, the C3000Z model was provided as a rental device for customers on CenturyLink gigabit plans, however we recommend getting a different model if you're on one of those plans. We feel that limiting yourself to just 200Mbps does not make sense while paying for gigabit services.
The Zyxel C3000Z supports VDSL2 bonding with vectoring. Vectoring support reduces cross-talk for up to 150% increase in performance and range for operators. The CenturyLink C3000Z also supports the latest VDSL2 35B profile. Additionally, the Zyxel C3000Z includes a dedicated Gigabit Ethernet WAN Port. When CPE is operating in DSL mode, this port will work as a 5th Gigabit LAN Port.
Carrier-class Wi-Fi for Seamless Mobility

Remote Management & Enhanced Security Features with the CenturyLink C3000Z
Enhanced security ensures the protection of traffic from the WAN to the LAN. Through ZyXEL’s implementation of dual Ethernet firewalls (NAT and SPI), the C3000Z is able to identify and manage malicious content and applications. And, as part of its wireless security design, the C3000Z supports WPA2/WPA and features a hardware WPS button allowing customers to enjoy easy setup using a simple button. These features simplify the end user’s ability to set up and utilize a secure, wireless network.
The C3000Z provides DSL Forum compliant TR-069 remote management features to ensure faster deployment by Service Providers. In addition, ZyXEL’s standard onboard management options, remote provisioning, monitoring, and management features help CenturyLink reduce OPEX while enhancing customer satisfaction. *Listed wireless data transfer rates are the theoretical maximum.
