Starlink designs this mount for the top of a gable wall or the fascia board, the two places on most houses that sit above nearby obstructions. Run the Starlink app's obstruction check from that spot before you drill. The app uses your phone camera to confirm the dish will have a clear view of the sky from the mounted position.
Drive the lag screws into solid framing, not siding or sheathing alone. Seal the holes with the included silicone, and use the wall clips to hold the cable along the wall on its way indoors.
This mount fits the current flat Standard dish that ships in the Starlink Standard Kit, along with the Enterprise dish. The older Gen 2 (Standard Actuated) dish with a motorized mast and the Starlink Mini use different mounts. To put a Standard dish on a pole or an old antenna mast, use the Starlink Pipe Adapter.
The Starlink Standard 4, Standard 4 X, and Enterprise dishes. It does not fit the Gen 2 Standard Actuated dish or the Starlink Mini.

No, but the job involves a ladder and drilling into the house near the roofline. Hire an installer if you are not comfortable working at that height.
