Internet outages are rising in 2025, from ISP failures to Starlink downtime. Here’s how to prevent internet outages at home with proven tools like ...
Enhance the speed, coverage, and reliability of your home Wi-Fi network by putting the Archer A20 AC4000 Wireless Tri-Band Gigabit Router from TP-Link at its center. Featuring six powerful antennas and Beamforming for far-reaching range, this router uses NitroQAM technology to boost 802.11ac Wi-Fi speeds across the 2 GHz and dual 5 GHz signal bands to deliver a total throughput of up to 4000 Mb/s. With three wireless bands using MU-MIMO technology to simultaneously communicate with multiple devices and a Smart Connect feature that automatically switches to the most efficient band, you'll have reliable and fast Wi-Fi for streaming 4K video, playing online games, and more.
Four Gigabit Ethernet ports are available for connecting computers, video game consoles, printers, and other wired devices to the network. With Link Aggregation, you can combine two Ethernet ports with compatible network-attached storage (NAS) devices to double the wired transfer speed. You can also plug external storage drives into the USB 3.0 Type-A and USB 2.0 Type-A ports to quickly share files across the network. In addition to 128-bit WEP, WPA/WPA2, and WPA-PSK/WPA-PSK2 encryptions, your network is secured by TP-Link HomeCare, which includes tools such as an antivirus and customizable parental controls.
The Archer A20 features one 2.4 GHz and two 5 GHz bands to connect with devices without slowing the network down. MU-MIMO technology communicates with multiple devices simultaneously and optimizes the Wi-Fi throughput.
In addition to having a powerful 1.8 GHz 64-bit processor with three co-processors and 512MB of RAM to manage network traffic, the Archer NitroQAM technology to enhance 802.11ac Wi-Fi speeds by up to 25%. The router delivers up to 750 Mb/s on the 2.4 GHz band and 1625 Mb/s on each 5 GHz band, for a total throughput of 4000 Mb/s.
The six external antennas use RangeBoost technology to detect far away or low-powered devices, while Beamforming strengthens the signal to them, providing reliable Wi-Fi coverage. The router automatically selects the most efficient Wi-Fi band for each device to help ensure optimal speeds.
Compatible network storage devices can use Link Aggregation to connect to two of the router's Gigabit Ethernet ports for a total wired throughput of up to 2 Gb/s.
TP-Link HomeCare provides an antivirus, parental controls, and tools to manage your network configuration.
